What is GBT Connect?
GBT Connect is a two year pilot program, starting April 22, 2024, that offers affordable shared rides within the town of Trumbull, CT. Is there a youth discount?
There are no discounts available. Children under age five ride free.
Can children ride?
Children under the age of 13 need to ride with an adult.
Can I get a monthly pass?
There are no monthly passes available.
How do I get the app?
You can download the app, at the Apple Store or on Google Play.
What does the app do?
You can book a ride and pay your fare with the app. The app shows you how long until your ride arrives and how long it will take to get to your destination.
Can you book a ride in advance?
Yes. You can book a ride up to two days in advance.
Can people with disabilities ride?
Yes! All vehicles are wheelchair accessible and drivers are trained to help people with disabilities.
How are the drivers trained?
All drivers undergo comprehensive training, including the following key safety measures:
- Comprehensive safety training for drivers;
- Valid CT Driver’s License;
- Be at least 18 years of age;
- Have an acceptable driving record;
- Possess good moral character;
- Pass a criminal record background check. State and Federal fingerprinting required;
- Must meet USDOT medical standards/requirements;
- Must submit to a National Sex Offender Registry check;
- Pre-employment drug testing;
- Ongoing random drug and alcohol testing during employment.

Can I bring my dog or other animal with me when I ride?
Sorry, only service dogs / animals are allowed on the vehicles.
Who operates GBT Connect?
GBT Connect is operated by Greater Bridgeport Transit through a partnership with RideCo and M7. The app is provided by RideCo and the vehicles are operated by M7.
GBT Connect is made possible through a state grant from Connecticut Department of Transportation.
